Dominic Rivera
Dominic Rivera is a queer filmmaker from Benilde, specializing in producing. He is the founder and president of the creative production house Pakak Studios, a writer and actor alumnus of Lyceum of the Philippines–Cavite’s theater group Tanghalang Lykeion, and served as the assistant company manager of the Cultural Promotions Team.
His documentary film Diwata received the “Audience Choice Award” at the 20th Piling Obrang Vidyo. In 2024 and 2025, he was a workshopper and volunteer for Dwein Baltazar’s filmmaking workshop. His personal documentary Makasama Kang Tumanda was awarded the “Special Jury Prize” at the MANIWALA Film Festival 2025. His script Para Kay Donita also won 10th Place in Young Creatives Challenge Year 2. And lastly, Una’t Huling Inuman won Best Director and Best Coming Out Story in JCI Tuguegarao Pride Short Film Festival, and became an official selection in Sinag Maynila 2025.
