Youssef Fahmy
Youssef Fahmy is an Egyptian actor, filmmaker, and writer passionate about exploring the intersections of theater and cinema.
He began acting at the age of seven and later studied Theater and Film at the American University in Cairo, where he performed in numerous stage productions and directed his first short works. His semester abroad at Bard College in New York deepened his artistic approach, where he engaged with Japanese Noh theater and began experimenting with blending performance, writing, and music.
Youssef’s work reflects a constant search for authenticity, drawing from personal experiences and emotional depth. Whether on stage or behind the camera, he strives to tell stories that examine identity, vulnerability, and the complexity of human relationships. His artistic path is rooted in a desire to move fluidly between acting, directing, and writing, building a body of work that resonates both locally and internationally.
